Volunteers make SDMBA’s trail work, events, and community programs possible. Whether you want to spend a morning working on trails or help bring one of our major events to life, there are plenty of ways to get involved.
Trail Work
Want to get your hands dirty? SDMBA hosts volunteer trail work throughout San Diego County, with most opportunities taking place during the cooler months when conditions are best for trail maintenance and construction.The best way to find upcoming trail work is to follow the SDMBA Meetup page. New volunteer opportunities are posted there as they are scheduled.
No trail-building experience is necessary. We provide instruction, tools, and everything you need to get started.
Events & Other Volunteer Opportunities
SDMBA also relies on volunteers to help make our events and community programs happen – from the Archipelago Ride and Mount Laguna Trail Fest to outreach events and other activities throughout the year.Interested in helping out?
