  • San Diego County is a large region with many different parks and open spaces. While there is not one comprehensive trails map for the entire county, we hope the following resources help you plan your ride

Current Maps

California Trail Maps -The California Trail Map was designed for outdoor activities including hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and off-roading. Some features require a subscription.

Stowe Trail - located on the eastern boundary of MCAS Miramar Base property and open to trail use by required annual permit, this trail links Santee and Sycamore-Goodan Ranch

    *Renewals for Stowe Trail Permit: 
  • Renewals are processed using the same paperwork and process as initial application.
  • 5/15/2018:  the card printer at MCAS Miramar is currently under repair.  If you have applied for a permit or renewal but have not received your updated card, please carry your old expired card or application paperwork while on the trail and the base has said that will be sufficient.   The permit office can also give you a temporary pass while the machine is down.
