*To limit the spread of the novel COVID-19 pandemic and prioritize the health of our community, our team is canceling all larger events and trail work opportunities for volunteers. We will monitor and re-evaluate regularly as CA guidelines are adjusted.
Current opportunities: (updated 1/26/2021)
- Trail work: opportunities posted as rain and conditions allow.
- Check event calendar frequently or SDMBA Meetup Page or Facebook Events.
- Current COVID guidelines are not allowing us to have groups of volunteers at this time. We are continuing some limited trail work with staff under protocols provided by PBTA and applicable agencies like the US Forest Service. We will keep everyone posted as we ramp back up to regular procedures.

Please participate with San Diego Mountain Biking Association by volunteering to serve on a committee.
The Advocacy Committee is the largest gathering of SDMBA volunteers and is an active forum for all committees, Board Members, invited parties, and the curious to gather and discuss challenges, opportunities, and fun times relating to mountain biking in San Diego. Members of the public are welcome to come and discuss issues and advocate for trails for all non-motorized trail users. Food and beverages are often provided with a small donation request to cover costs and pickup. Advocates find and address issues of access throughout the area, organize letter/email campaigns, work with liaisons to resolve conflicts and legal problems.
To volunteer for the Advocacy committee or to learn more, please come to an Advocacy Committee meeting or contact Ben Stone at firstname.lastname@example.org
If you want to get involved in trail planning and digging, then become connected with one of our Land Stewardship Teams. To volunteer come to an Advocacy Committee meeting (generally first Monday of each month) or contact Don Sutton at email@example.com
If getting more kids and families on bikes is your thing, get involved with the education committee. Several kid and family days are held annually and family bike rides are always popular. Connect with our local NICA teams or help communicate trail etiquette for all trail users at an outreach event. Contact Skii Fleeton at firstname.lastname@example.org
